I can't remember a time... |
July 2, 2012 |

I can't remember a time in my life when you were not in it. From growing up as little kids to Graduating high school to seeing you as an Officer at just about every occasion I attended. I will forever miss your huge smile and laugh. I find it extremely hard to believe this has happened. Til I see you again May god hold you tight in his arms. Love Forever, Linda

You ran a red light because of..... |

I have had the honor of working with Sgt. Taylor for 4 years now as a police communications officer and always had a great time with him. Professional, caring, always willing to help someone out, and liked to through out the occassional indirect or inside joke humor. Sgt Taylor gave me my first ticket some years ago, and asked why I had run a red light? I explained to him that I was just starting a seperation process and was frustrated by what I was told. He heard my brief story, goes to walk away to run my liscense than come back stops, sighs and says" You ran a right light because a women got in your head!!??"I wasnt amused at the time, but laughed, wrote my citation and before he handed it to me said I ONLY wrote you a citation as a lesson, not for running the red light but as a reminder to never let a woman mess with your mind...your daughter loves you right(her name is Madison and 12 also)? I busted out laughing and said "OF COURSE" He said, let this be the reminder shes what matters and no one else! I laugh and smile every time I talked to him, that life lesson was imprinted in my mind forever! God bless you all!!

While I only had the pleasure of working with Robert a short time, he was a great guy to be around. Always a smile on his face, friendly, hard working, and a sense of humor. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. May God bless his family in every way possible.

When I think of Rob, I think of that SMILE! It was an honor to work with him in Special Operations Division. I can see it now, Hoover, Shane, Duck, Glover, then later Brad, Bill, Jason and Eddie and always at the center Rob. They would have their morning meetings that were always full of laughter and story telling. The rest of the office would be entertained with all their antics. Traffic Ops has some really tough jobs to do but Rob didn't let what he did make him hard.
Madison and Austin, I know how it is to lose your Dad so young. I watched my dad die when I was 16 years old and I will never forget it. It was unfair that I had to be without a dad and till this day I miss him. But knowing how loved and missed my dad was made it easier. You two had an awesome dad and he will be missed by so many. I hope you find some comfort in that! My prayers are with the entire Taylor Family.

Liter of Cola |
July 2, 2012 |
I met Robbie about 8 years ago. He and Officer Padgett came into my resteraunt. This was right around the time Super Troopers had become a cult hit with the local police. They both ordered and i turned to my kitchen and told them it was for cops ( just messing with them of course, my kitchen didnt understand ) But i watched their smiles turn to seriousness as Robbie grabbed his whoopin stick from his belt and I assured them i was just messing with them like in the movie. We all got a good laugh about it. Ever since then, when Robbie would come in, i would ask him if he wanted a liter of cola. we always had a good laugh, he was always smiling. I dont have a single memory of him where he wasnt happy, or had an encouraging word to say. He took jokes well. And he could give jokes right back to you. He had a poker face when he grabbed the night stick. But he would crack after a few seconds and just laugh. He will be missed dearly!
