Kevin Keelan Missing You July 3, 2012
Monkey Boy,  I put off long enough getting on here to tell you how much I miss you.  Damn what I wouldnt give for another round of golf with you and Pat, a trip to Hooters, or a beer with you & Scott and listen to your stories of how you, Scott and PJ terrorized this county growing up; man did you have some stories.  Or maybe a trip back to the Gold's Gym days, or perhaps how 'bout a night downtown to a Caps game and drink or two at the Irish Channel, huh?  (Damn was Tiffany mad; if only she knew that was all your doing....hahaha....)  Brian and I had a blast at Tobacco Road two weeks ago, yeah, we talked about you.....
To Madison and Austin, your Dad was awesome.  I remember when you both were born.  He was so overwhelmed with excitement, but cool as a cucumber, as if fatherhood was something that was gonna come natural.  Apparently it did.  He taught me how cool it was to take the kids in the stroller to the mall, and be the envy of everyone.  I look back now and laugh, wondering what did people think when they saw us two pushing strollers around the mall. He did nothing but talk about you both; and was quick to cut short anything he was doing or had planned so he could be with either of you.  You two, Tiffany and all his family were the priorities in his life-he never let me forget it.  If I can be half the father to my daughter as he was to you two, I would be blessed.  My dogsitting and fishsitting services are always here.
Tiffany, thanks for letting me be a part of your family's life.  I know there were plenty of times you were frustrated with me, but I got to tell ya, it was all Robert's ideas, I just followed along.  He was the older, wiser one...or so I thought...and to this day, I still dont know where Monkey Boy came from, sorry...
You left a lasting impression on me these past 18 years, thanks for being such a great, fun, true friend.  There are so few of your type left.  You held up your end of the bargain, now let me see if I can do the same....you sure as hell didnt make it easy...
I miss you.  Until we meet again at that 19th hole in the sky, RIP ROBERT, RIP...
Bagley #377 Final Inspection July 3, 2012
Final Inspection
The Policeman stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining as brightly as his brass.
...
"Step forward now, officer. How shall I deal with You?
... Have you always turned the other cheek? To my Church have you been true?"

The officer squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Cause those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.

But I never took a penny that wasn't mine to keep,
Though I worked a lot of overtime when the bills just got too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help, though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive me, I wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place among the people here.
They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.

If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand.
I've never expected or had too much. But if you don't, I'll understand."

There was silence all around the throne where the saints had often trod.
As the officer waited quietly for the answer of his God.

"Step forward now, Officer, you've borne your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's Streets. You've done your time in Hell."

Bagley #377 Warrant Sweep July 3, 2012
Taylor,
I will never forget the day Me, You, and Duck went on a Warrants Sweep.  Early in the shift we were going through the warrants and we saw one for failure to pay neighborhood dues. ($1,700) All of us got a kick out of this charge and said....lets go get that one.  (Because none of us had ever heard of the charge, and laughed about locking someone up for that)   Well, we located her, transported her to the bank so she could deduct the $1,700 prior to taking her to jail.  It was at the jail that we realized she could not pay the $1,700 to be released and would have to sit in the jail all weekend until she could see a judge. We didnt feel this was right because other people with the same charge that day could have been released after posted the money owed.    So, being the kind hearted officers that we are, we called Jerome Spencer of the State's Attorney's Office, Met him at Boarders, Jerome called the Judge that issued the paperwork.  We then drove to the Judge's House, met him in the living room of his residence (wearing boxers and a T-shirt) and he changed the wording of the paperwork so she could be released.  We then drove back to the jail, and advised the lady that she was now able to be released.  How many other officers can say, they locked the lady up, and helped get her out?  This situation goes to show the professionalism of the Charles County Sheriff's Office that you carried with you throughout your carreer!

May you Rest in Peace
Tammy Schwartz, Station Clerk The Car Seat Installer July 2, 2012
I knew him as little more than the officer I refered citizens to who need car seats installed. I'd only seen him a handful of times at the station, but when I did see him, he was a decent officer, and knew when to share a laugh or two. I miss that I didn't get to know him more than just a few minutes, but for that, he was there for the folks that needed him more. He will be missed.
