Tony Verdiglione Farewell My Friend July 6, 2012
Memories of a Good Friend:

Crabs and Coors Light
Wings and Coors Light
Coors Light and Coors Light
You were a great ski instructor but you forgot to mention that the Black Diamond was the advanced SLOPE!!
Jack Danilels is NOT my Friend!
Standing beside you on your wedding day was a Pleasure!
Driving your ass home from your bachelor party was NOT!
Your practical jokes always got a good laugh, by the way I still have no idea WHO put those meatballs in your jacket pocket?!
Jelly does not go on a sausage and egg biscuit YUCK!
Keep your damn cat away from my boot laces!

So many good times my friend, your friendship and humor have made an impact on the lives of many! You left us way to soon but you will never be forgotten!

May God Bless You Robert!
The Sokoloff Family (518) That Smile July 4, 2012
The first time I really MET Rob was when I was working an overtime assignment with him about 3 years ago.  I knew who he was from seeing him at the briefing, but I had never said a word to him.  I pulled him over in is agency truck for having a light out.  I walked up to the car all serious, ready to give him my spiel about why I stopped him and all and when I got to the driver's side door, there he was with that smile and he just said, "Yeesssss?"  I about busted out laughing right there and then on the side of 301.

Ever since that moment, whether it was on a checkpoint or at Chipotle having lunch,  I never remember seeing him without that smile (if you want to know which smile it was, check out the kissyface picture in the gallery!).

To Tiffany, Madison and Austin, I feel so badly for your loss.  I am sure your pain is beyond words right now.  I know this because there are tears on my face right now over your loss.  But, this will pass and you will learn to remember Rob for who he was.  I certainly don't envy you going through any of this, but I do envy all the great memories that you undoubtedly have of your wonderful dad and husband.  Remember those other times, not this week!  That is who your dad was.  That is who your husband was.

Finally, you may not realize it, but your family is HUGE!  The entire Sheriff's Office is grieving.  We're grieving because we have lost a brother too!  And, just like any other family member, please call on us (at least me) if you need anything that you think we can help you with.  And I promise, we won't crash your family reunion, even if we ARE family!

Our love and prayer goes out to you in this difficult time.
